Who we are

The Innovation center is a common ground to observe, understand, interact and experiment. Initially conceived as a museum for children, the project gave rise to ideas that would encourage interaction among students and scientists. The innovation center provides a hands-on experience in science, a common ground formed as a direct result of the interaction of a library, laboratory, workshops and discussion areas.

To develop a tinkering culture amongst students and professionals and induce innovation driven approach with industry collaboration, and learning from other experts and leaders in IT.
To promote new technology/knowledge/innovation based IT startups in Emerging Technologies.
To build a vibrant startup ecosystem in Manipur by establishing a strong network with IT Companies, aspiring local entrepreneurs, academic institutions and other start up related bodies.
To provide cost effective, value added services to startups like mentoring, legal, regulatory, financial, technical, intellectual property related services.
To provide a platform for speedy commercialization of technologies/ideas developed by the incubatees.
To create jobs, wealth and business aligning with State’s priorities.

Innovation Hub, Manipur - Objectives.

Some of the objectives of Innovation Hub, Manipur

Understand

Innovation Hub, Manipur (IHM), will not only be a place where projects are realized and products, rolled out but it will also be a place of learning.
Staff will be encouraged to devote their time to understanding a new idea and innovate based on their understanding.
Sharing their understanding will be paramount to perfecting an idea in its initial stage. Team work is a mandatory feature of the IHM environment.
Every new idea will be treated with respect and will remain an important factor in the progress and maturity of IHM.
Any form of learning from textual, verbal, visual or physical will be encourage to assist the innovators in their understanding.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt and make changes is highly valued.

Interact

Exposure to people and environment to stimulate interest and inspire will be a part of the IHM objective.
Site visits and hosting well known innovators through seminars, webinars or conference will be an important feature in our interaction.
Participation in tech expo to showcase ingenuity of IHM and to interact with bright minds from around the country and the world will be an annual feature.
Technological changes and strides made in the country and around the world will be highlighted periodically to help update our path.
To assimilate real world understanding and to be grounded to its necessities IHM will interact with day to day people from all walks of life to have it reflected in our innovations.
IHM places due importance to rest and recreation (R&R) to stimulate creativity, and will be honored through holidays, vacations, entertainment and social functions.

Experiment

The IHM lab is where people work together to both produce and experiment.
Tools and implements, and products of our own and from third party will be provided for the researchers to tinker and experiment as they see fit.
Robotics and Artificial Intelligence will be a big part of the IHM initiative.
To help care for the wounded, namely the amputees, IHM will take it as one of our ambitious objective to research and develop interactive robotic prosthetic limbs.
To ensure a conducive environment for experiment, IHM will keep strict regulations and demands to bare minimum to avoid stifle creativity.
Failure will not be look down upon but rather treat it as evidence that researchers made every possible effort and left no stone unturned.

Artificial Intelligence Lab

The IHM A.I. lab is a state of the art environment where researchers can modularized their tasks to increase efficiency.

Internet of Things Lab

Internet of things is an umbrella term of an omnipresent network where customized information are collected and transferred at required locations by utilizing a broad range of technologies, applications and use cases.

Robotics Lab

IHM robotics lab will be a comprehensive research and development area devoted to stand alone machines with either limited functions or with A.I. module to expand its scope of operation.

Conference Room

Conference room will be where IHM boardroom meetings, conferences, webinars and discussion concerning IHM management, targets, progresses and other related analytics are highlighted.
